In 2018 José Luis Nieto has appointed academician of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain. Since 2022, José Luis he assumes the artistic direction of the Klassica Foundation, a programming institution at the National Auditorium in Madrid. In Europe he includes concerts at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome (Italy), Hamburg Laeiszhalle – Elbphilharmonie, Rudolf Oetker Halle in Bielefeld, Gasteig München, Tonhalle Düsseldorf (Germany), Stockholm konserthuset (Sweden), Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen (Denmark), Instituto Cervantes en Dublin (Ireland), Juan March Foundation in Madrid, The Auditorio Nacional in Madrid (Spain), Embassy of Spain in Stockholm (Sweden), West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge (United Kingdom), Philharmonic Hall of Transylvania in Cluj, Athenaeum Big Hall of Bucarest (Romania), Suk Concer Hall in Prague (Czech Republic), Salzburg Mozarteum (Austria), Belgrade Philharmonic in Belgrade (Serbia) and many others.

His international journey and high quality lead him to be invited by institutions such as Fordhan University in New York, Instituto Cervantes in New York, Albuquerque and Chicago, Spanish Cultural Center in Miami or Latino Festival Chicago Composers, en Los Ángeles, San José of California, etc. Mr. Nieto’s activities also stretch to the Middle East, having received excellent reviews when he played in the Great Hall of the Opera of Cairo in Cairo – Gomhoreya- (Egypt) and the Great Hall of Theatre Sayed Darwish in Alexandria (Egypt). He has also been invited by Superior Conservatory of Music in Alexandria (Egypt), as a teacher of Master Degree level. In his visits to Latin-America, Jose Luis Nieto has offered concerts in emblematic venues such as the Gran Teatro Oriente and the Providencia Cultural Center in Santiago de Chile, the Cultural Center of Spain in Antigua Guatemala, the National Conservatory of Guatemala in Guatemala city and National Conservatory of Honduras in Tegucigalpa, the National Theater of El Salvador, the Auditorium of the University of Costa Rica in San José, National Library of Panama, Music House of Quito (Ecuador), Municipality of Lima (Peru), CAFAM Theater of Bogotá (Colombia), Central Bank Theater of Paraguay in Asunción, at the National Symphonic Center in La Paz (Bolivia) and many other famous stages in cities such as Arequipa (Peru), Cali (Colombia), Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia), Porto Alegre (Brazil), Mexico City (Mexico), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Montevideo (Uruguay), etc.

Jose Luis has been invited as a soloist by the Camerata Baltic Orchestra of Siberia (Rusia), Symphonic Orchestra Gniessens (Rusia), Orchestra of Virtuous from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Rusia), Kaliningrad Orchestra Philarmonic (Rusia), Ensemble of soloists Hermitage (Russia), Murmansk Orchestra Philarmonic (Rusia), Prokoffiev Philarmonic Orchestra of Donetsk (Ucrania), Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile (Chile), Orquesta Sinfónica de Antofagasta (Chile), Library Chamber Orchestra of Alexandria (Egipto) and Moscow Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra (Rusia). He has performed with great musicians like Alexe Utkin and Elena Obratszova and he has shared stage international festivals with Vladimir Spivakov and Yuri Bashmet.

Jose Luis Nieto is the first Spanish pianist that has played in the most prestigious concert halls in the regions of Siberia and the Urals (Russia). He has covered almost all of the country´s geography, playing with institutions like Kaliningrad, Ekaterinburgo Philharmonic , Omsk Philharmonic, Tiumen Philharmonic, Arkhangelsk Philharmonic, Tver Philharmonic, Tula Philharmonic, Yaroslavl Philharmonic, Severodvinsk Philharmonic, Murmansk Philharmonic. He also played in various well known concert halls such as the Sheremetevo Palace in Saint Petersburg (Russia), the Svetlanovsky Hall if the Music House of Moscow (Russia), as well as the Rachmaninov Hall and the Maly Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia).He has been invited to the International Piano Festival “Pianoforum” in Donetsk (Ukraine).

He graduated from the Moscow Tchaikowsky Conservatory under the tutelage of a universal piano myth, Mikhail Voskressensky, and also where he later graduated under the direction of the renowned and famous Victor Merzhanov. This endorses the Spanish interpreter to undertake an intense concert activity at an international level, revealing himself as one of the most outstanding Spanish pianists of the new generation.

All this professional travel is reflected in the publication of seven recordingswhich has received excellent recognition from music critics for these releases.
