José Luis Nieto, after studying in the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid (Spain), he went on to the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow (Russia), from 1997 to 2006, where he studied under the guidance of the famous pianist Mikhail Voskressensky. He got his postgraduate in the same Tchaikovsdy Conservatory, under the guidance of the famous Russian pianist Victor Merzhanov. He has played almost all of the russian geography, collaborating with philharmonic institutions like Kaliningrad, Ekaterinburgo, Omsk, Tiumen, Arkhangelsk, Tver, Tula, Yaroslavl, Severodvinsk, Murmansk, Saint Petersburg,Svetlanovsky Hall if the Music House of Moscow,Rachmaninov Concert Hall and the Maly Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, etc. He has been invited also to the International Piano Festival “Pianoforum” in Donetsk (Ukraine).
In the United States he played in different cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, San Jose, New York, Albuquerque and Miami, receiving great reviews of these concerts. In Europe he includes concerts at the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome (Italy), Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Rudolf Oetker Halle in Bielefeld, Gasteig München, Tonhalle Düsseldorf (Germany), Stallet Theater (Sweden), Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen (Denmark), Instituto Cervantes en Dublin (Ireland), Juan March Foundation in Madrid, The Auditorio Nacional in Madrid (Spain), West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge, Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford (United Kingdom), Philharmonic Hall of Transylvania in Cluj, Athenaeum Big Hall of Bucarest (Romania), Suk Concer Hall in Prague (Czech Republic), Viennese Hall of Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria) and many others.
Mr. Nieto’s activities also stretch to the Middle East, having received excellent reviews when he played in the Great Hall of the Opera of Cairo in Cairo – Gomhoreya- (Egypt) and the Great Hall of Theatre Sayed Darwish in Alexandria (Egypt). He has also been invited by Superior Conservatory of Music in Alexandria (Egypt), as a teacher of Master Degree level. Nieto has offered more than 40 concerts and Master classes throughout Chile, in various cities like Santiago, Chillan, Iquique, Arica, Antofagasta, Rancagua, Linares, Talca, Curico and La Serena, stressing his performance in the Great Theater “Oriente” in Santiago.
Jose Luis has been invited as a soloist by the Camerata Baltic Orchestra of Siberia (Russia), Symphonic Orchestra Gniessens (Russia), Orchestra of Virtuous from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Russia), Kaliningrad Orchestra Philarmonic (Russia), Ensemble of soloists Hermitage (Russia), Murmansk Orchestra Philarmonic (Russia), Prokoffiev Philarmonic Orchestra of Donetsk (Ukraine), Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile (Chile), Orquesta Sinfónica de Antofagasta (Chile), Library Chamber Orchestra of Alexandria (Egypt), Moscow Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra (Russia),etc He has performed with great musicians like Alexe Utkin, Elena Obratszova, Vladimir Spivakov and Yuri Bashmet.
